Giro d’Italia Women 2026: Regina to Sponsor the Maglia Rosa

29/05/2026

The official Maglia Rosa of the Giro d’Italia Women, which starts tomorrow in Cesenatico and finishes on 7 June in Saluzzo, was unveiled in Feltre just a few hours before the start of Stage 19 of the Giro d’Italia.

Regina, a brand of the Sofidel Group, will put its name on the symbol of race leadership, once again produced by Castelli and designed by Maria Teresa Castelli.

Now in its second year as a sponsor of the Giro d’Italia, the Regina brand is strengthening its commitment to cycling by becoming the main sponsor of one of the most coveted jerseys in women’s cycling, in one of the most star-studded editions of the Corsa Rosa.

The Maglia Rosa is not only the symbol of the Giro leader, but also represents a technical excellence in aerodynamics. The result of more than 20 years of development, this jersey was designed by Castelli through wind tunnel testing at the Politecnico di Milano.

This year, the creative project has chosen to clearly differentiate the Giro d’Italia Women Maglia Rosa from that of the men’s race. While the Giro d’Italia celebrates its 95 years of history, the Giro d’Italia Women continues its journey toward building an autonomous identity through dedicated storytelling and by highlighting its unique characteristics.

Two years ago, the creative concept “Wonderful Women” was born, combining “Wonder Woman” and “Wonderful World”. A unique, extraordinary and distinctive world, just like the women’s world.

The visual inspiration takes shape from a starry sky: a universal symbol of wonder, aspiration and guidance. The Giro d’Italia Women constellation – designed to reflect the 2026 route – makes it metaphorically eternal, as if traced across the sky.

From Elisa Longo Borghini to Marlen Reusser, from Demi Vollering to Anna van der Breggen, this year’s participation is outstanding and confirms the growth of the event, which will enjoy even broader television exposure both in Italy, with daily live coverage on Rai2, and internationally, as it will be broadcast all over the world”.

Alessio Cremonese, Executive President of MVC Group:The Maglia Rosa of the Giro d’Italia Women is not only an iconic symbol of world cycling, but also a concentration of research and technical innovation. The result of more than twenty years of development in the field of aerodynamics, it was designed by Castelli through specific testing in the wind tunnel of the Politecnico di Milano, with the aim of guaranteeing the best possible performance for the athletes. In addition, a dedicated speedsuit has also been developed for the road stages, specifically designed to deliver the highest level of aerodynamics and race performance”.
